I set the QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS environment variable in attempt to confirm that QT was looking in the right folders to look for this plugin and I got this QFactoryLoader::QFactoryLoader() checking directory path "C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/Qt5/plugins". Available platform plugins are: direct2d, minimal, offscreen, windows. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "windows" in "C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Qt5\plugins" even though it was found. I am just started with the ros2 tutorial.I am trying to create a standalone script with QGIS functionality however I continuously run into this error regarding QT platform plugin not loading "windows" not loading. At the end of the installation, both ros2 run demo_nodes_cpp talker and ros2 run demo_nodes_py listener worked.

Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.ĭoes this mean that I need to install Qt? If yes, why isn't Qt included in Foxy release, or, as part of install instruction? Could you provide the pointer where I can download free version of Qt? Once I install Qt, what else do I need to do so that the turtlesim will work successfully? Thanks a lot for the help.
